Day 11

In your own space, make a list of at least 3 things that you like about yourself.

I remember a few years ago when I started doing this challenge and how hard these particular ones were to do, the reccing yourself, asking for things and singing your own praises. I don't know if I just took it all more seriously all those years ago, or if I've gotten better (with practice) at this whole "I Rock!" thing. ♥

1.) I am a good friend. I like that my friends know that I'm there for them, no matter what, and while I don't always know what to say, and I'm pretty much consistently socially awkward, I still drop what I'm doing and put in the effort.
2.) I have a good sense of humor. If you're into sarcasm that is. Some people aren't. I don't get those people. Those people really don't get me. But other than them, I'm fuckin' hilarious. ♥
3.) I am a good writer and strive everyday (mostly) to be better. I love that I can make people cry, laugh, think. I like that I can be much more serious and contemplative in fiction than I am in life. I love that I have a imagination and friends who will help me with the tricky comma placement bits. ;)

See. Easy-peasy.

Day Three

In your own space, talk about your creative process - from what inspires you to what motivates you to how you manage to break through blocks. Does your process change depending on the type of creating you're doing?

Ho-hum. Yeah, I got nothing.

Or I do, but I've just been talking so much of writing these days. I'm still tapped from the blog tour I did last year. I have been enjoying reading other people's process. But, I should be talking about writing more, that's what us professional authors do. HAHAHA! I just don't know what anyone cares to read about. So, why don't you ask me a question, anything at all, about my writing, my process, how I deal with any aspect of it, and I'll have answers, either here or on my pro-blog. :)

Day Four

Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before or introduce yourself to someone you've interacted with and friend/follow them. It doesn't have to be anything complex - it can be feedback for a fanwork or discussing something you might have in common or even simply admiring their icon. The point is to reach out to someone you normally wouldn't and connect with them, even if it's only for the briefest moment.

Biggest cheater! But I did that with someone else on that day who said they welcomed anyone too shy to go and randomly talk to a stranger to come and randomly talk to them, so yeah. I DID IT! And we bonded over Spencer Reid. *sigh*

Day Five

In your own space, talk about your fannish origin story. How did you come to fandom, why did you choose your fannish name, do you have more than one secret identity?

Super TL;DR, sorry )

Wow, that was super self-indulgent and full of unnecessary detail. I feel I should give some sort of reward for anyone who suffered through it. ♥♥

Day 2

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Man, I don't know if I'm glad or apprehensive that the last two days challenges have been the hardest. Glad because that might mean the hard ones will be behind me after this, but apprehensive because maybe they'll all be hard this year.

You see, if there's one thing harder for me than tooting my own horn, it's asking for things. *shudders*

So, this is just a list of things I wish I had the talent to do myself that would fill me with unbelievable glee to receive. And most of them are basically cut and paste from last year's list, as my wants haven't really changed all that much. There is one added thing and they are all here under the cut:

Just Call Me Veruca Salt )

Whew. Done.

Day One

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

It's actually really hard to rec yourself. Who knew? )
